Johanna Marie Orejo, MD
Johanna Marie Orejo, MD obtained her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Philippines in 2015. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital in New York, and her Nephrology fellowship at Boston University/Boston Medical Center. She is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Her clinical interests include managing acute kidney injury, electrolyte disorders, chronic kidney disease, and dialysis. During her residency and fellowship training, she conducted quality improvement projects in reducing hospital admissions for urgent dialysis initiation among patients with chronic kidney disease Stage 5 and acute kidney injuries in the medical intensive care unit. She presented multiple case reports at the American College of Physicians and American Society of Nephrology conferences.
She is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology, the National Kidney Foundation, and the Massachusetts Medical Society. She is affiliated with BIDMC- Plymouth, Falmouth Hospital, Tobey Hospital, and Cape Cod Hospital and Fresenius Kidney Care in Plymouth, Mashpee, Wareham, and Yarmouth.
In her free time, Dr. Orejo enjoys traveling, hiking, and going to the beach.
